Jet Lag and Jewels: Les Cakes de Bertrand...and Sister Adventures in Paris!...

Last weekend I was in the mood to add a touch of Paris to my outfit...I knew just the accessory that would fulfill my craving!

For Christmas my sister gave me this absolutely perfect bag from Les Cakes de Bertrand. First of all, let me tell you how much I love this shop! It's located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris and everything about it is absolutely adorable. It originally started out as a sweet shop (which explains the name) and then turned into a bag store after they began selling their sweets in little decorated pouches, which of course everybody fell in love with! Their designs are somehow the perfect mix of chic and funky, classic and modern. And I absolutely love the vintage-inspired pictures that are used to decorate the pieces!

So...you can imagine how excited I was to find one of their beautiful gift bags under the tree with my name on it on Christmas morning!...
I love how girly this purse is (note the bow on the shoulder!!!) and, of course, the leopard print fabric, which makes it just slightly wild!

Thank you for this beautiful present, Alix...it is gorgeous! But the best part is that every time I look at it I'm reminded of all the fun sister adventures we've shared in Paris over the years...I'll be back soon...very soon!!! ;)

Lo scorso fine settimana avevo voglia di aggiungere un pizzico di Parigi al mio look: ho pensato subito all’accessorio che avrebbe soddisfatto pienamente questo mio desiderio!

Per Natale mia sorella mi ha regalato questa borsa magnifica di Les Cakes de Bertrand. Prima di tutto, dovete sapere quanto io adori questa boutique! Si trova nel nono arrondissement di Parigi ed è veramente un gioiello. In origine, questo brand è stato una pasticceria (da qui, infatti, deriva il suo nome), poi hanno avuto l’idea di inserire i loro pasticcini dentro dei canestrini decorati, dei quali tutte si sono innamorate naturalmente! Così sono diventati principalmente venditori di borse di varie dimension. I loro accessori sono, a mio parere, il mix perfetto di chic e inusuale, classico e moderno. E le immagini ispirate al vintage che usano per decorare ogni pezzo sono favolose!

Così potete immaginare quanto ero entusiasta di trovare uno dei loro pacchetti regalo sotto l’albero di Natale con sopra il mio nome!...Mi piace la femminilità di questa borsa (da notare il fiocco sulla spalla!!!) e la fantasia leopardata, che stacca un po’ e la rende leggermente trasgressiva (ma sempre con classe)!

Grazie Alix di questo bellissimo regalo…è davvero stupendo! Ma la parte più bella è che ogni volta che la guardo mi tornano in mente tutti i momenti speciali condivisi a Parigi negli anni…Ci tornerò presto…molto presto!!! ;)
